Hi all, just to let you all know what's going on at Sim Racers 4 Life and the ARI Fun race series. The current Fun Race Series will end on the 18th of November after race 14. Keeping in mind that rfactor 2 is beta and still is an unfinished product we will stick with the successful Fun Race Series but introduce the F2's. We think this is a natural progression for our member and aim to keep racing interesting for all competitors. The F2/F3 series name will be announced at a later date but again will be based on promoting SR4L and adding to our fantastic, fast growing member base. The points system will restart for the new series although members will see their career points continue along with many other facts and figures that SR4L provides our members. A massive thank you to all involved so far, it's been a lot of fun running and racing these events and we hope to see more guys and gals getting on board. Cheers, Fergy
That means, with 3 races to go, that the battle for the top ten is in place then for the actual league View attachment 4296
Hmm, did i misread the post? I first read it that after the 18. Nov there is a transition from F3 to F2. So after 18.Nov we drive 60s F2. Or is it ment that F2 and F3 are racing together? Is that a good idea?
I just want to drive F3, I do not consider myself consistent enough to drive faster cars, I mean I love the BT20 but that is besides my point. I would like a F3 Nations Cup sort of thing Country vs Country. Maybe have separate events were you must progress to F2 meeting certain benchmarks. ie: penalty counts, incidents, 110% of times, etc. F3 would be Rookies. ARi licences you could lose and get punted back to Rookies .....lol
What I do understand is that we'll be racing both cars but in different events. I think we are in the line we talked about at the SR4L forum, driving one sunday the F3s and the following sunday (instead of being on the sofa watching TV as there was no ARI league race) racing the F2s at the very same track.
Personally I prefer a classical F2 race on a Sunday, and the other meganes or 370z, and I guess there will be people who will give some cars better than others
Situation atm is we will have 60s F2s and F3s (combined race, two classes) on one Sunday and modern F2s on the next Sunday on same track.
That links everything. How will the reversed grid race take place? Wouldn't like to be in an F3 and having the F2s behind.
Sounds good. Just try and set the race times to slightly more internationally pleasing times As in as early as you can possibly get away with it, or as late as you can possibly get away with it. Yeah I ask too much.
Ideally as we get bigger we run different time zones, not far away I hope Daylight savings finishes in Europe next week and that will make it more possible to race I hope. It's a long road but we'll drive down it Running F2's and F3's in the same class should break up the T1 blues that can come to haunt drivers. In terms of reverse grid we could just reverse the class so if you finished 1st for example in the F2 you would start at the back of that class, that way we never mix the cars at the start which could be the potential for disaster. It's worth a try to see how it runs, I'm sure the you guys will let us know what you think, it's going to be good experience for drivers catching and lapping others properly and vise versa with drivers letting cars through under blue flag.
