    Hello!

    When I bought rF2 I think I chose a one year subscription. I wonder if it is possible to change/upgrade it to a lifetime subscription somehow?

    Yes, we ask for payment of the difference, and we can do it. Please contact the address you purchased from (purchase@rfactor.net), including your RF order number, and open discussion with them, they will tell you how much to send in your currency, etc.

    You need the subscription (whether it be yearly or lifetime. FWIW I support yearly, it's a great motivator for ISI to keep it going for many years :) ) for multiplayer, both online and LAN. Without it you can only play single player and use the DEV Mode.

    Lifetime = Lifetime online access
    Without it you will be need to pay a subscription fee every 12 months for online racing/access

    Since we are still "testing" the first 12 months (which came with the cheaper subscription) will actually last a bit longer.

    That was my understanding. Tim?

    It is a different payment plan, mostly.

    $43.99, then $12 every year after the first.
    - or -
    $84.99 one-time.

    The $43.99 version is exactly the same as the $84.99 for one year. After that first year, if you don't pay the $12, rF2 ($43.99 version) becomes a single player sim, is harder to update (has to be done manually like you have been during testing), etc. It basically takes advantage of no online services (of which many are planned) whatsoever.

    In a nutshell. :)
