Nice Post Great Video Made me Laugh and I needed a laugh after I lost connection in 1st race corner 3 Nice one Fergy Ill Head on over to the Sr4L Forums and add my 2 pence
It was nice 'flying' with you.....little tire rub can go a long way....you didnt mess up, i think i moved a little too far left, was trying to hold my line tho' - sorry-well maybe you moved right into me - anyway- it didnt work out for either of us --
What's the matter guys; is racing no fun anymore? Two nights in a row I visit the server; no one there! Never happened before.....have we moved someplace, is there a sabbatical, licenses withdrawn or what?
Well, I'm getting there......just driving a few laps; that I can handle. But it's getting better quick now, thanks!
A lot of members in the lead up to an event practice very hard, some doing 200+ laps. Some guys race other leagues, some other games. It's about finding a balance as to much of a good thing can kill it. I can only speak for my self but it's nice to have a break and come back fresh for the next event. Once the next track is decided you'll see the room filling up but it won't be announced until Friday. Good your back on track and looking forward to seeing your début.
In my case, as fergy says, I prefer to have some rest after the event, and when the next event is announce start going back into action. Also family/work/friends need their attention I've started working in a personal skin for the day we start using them. Adding stickies and painting, the little I know about it.
Well, a bit late, here's my race report for last Sunday's race at Sebring, including a 15 minute video with first lap(s), incidents and highlights from my perspective. (Pass on Fergy included ;-) ) I was quite pleased with my pole-lap, people were already congratulating me on my 2.23.9xx while I was trying to go even faster which resulted in a 2.23.8xx. Could have been a little quicker if I hadn't been eyeballing the chat... How my races went, you can see it in the video. I had a very bad start for race 1, lost more places later in the first lap but managed to finish 3rd. Race 2 my start was better but after chasing down DjCruicky and Gorgias for a couple of laps, I apparently found it more interesting to start making mistakes and even making the same mistake twice... Race 3 I had to avoid 2 cars coming down on me on the left so I moved to the right, hitting Gorgias (I think) and spun in to the wall but fortunately only touching the front and back end of my car and not the tires. I had little damage and was able to overtake some cars and close in within 2 secs off Paul Ceglia, finishing 3rd again. So here's the video, hope you like it and till next meeting! Marcel Wiegers
Okay, never really noticed, but now I know, you'll didn't ran away from me I'dd like to stop by sometimes again. I am not really well enough to do some racing, but a few laps at the time I can handle. So I'll just stop by for the fun and chats
