Hello Hermmie. My apologies for the delay in posting more news. Basically right now we're going through a bit of a learning process with rF2 in some areas that we still need to get to grips with. Stephen who has been our RACE07 in-game guy has been working on rF2 as we've had a lack of work done there by our previous guys who also struggled with getting to grips with rF2's modding system. Stephen however has picked it up quite fast and has been working on getting our mods completed. He works daily on rF2 stuff to continue advancing his knowledge and learning the things he still has to come to grips with. He's been doing very well and we're very happy with his progress so far. It is going to take some more time as we still have certain things to learn but we are working on the open beta builds so we can get those out to all of you at the soonest time possible. Ales from United Racing Designs is also helping give Stephen the information he needs to ensure he can come to grips with the stuff that he doesn't know yet which has been a great help, so thanks Ales! With rF2 changing constantly and modding having become more time consuming with rF2's methods, we are doing the best we can to learn every aspect as fast as possible to get these cars out. People who have the knowledge and wish to help are most welcome to contact me to join up and help out. We aim to get these cars out at the soonest possible time. We'll keep you all posted.
We are working on it. We were hoping to have something out last month but our previous in-game guy couldn't complete it. Stephen has been progressing very well on getting to grips with rf2, the team is working together to ensure all issues we find are fixed immediately and we've got cars in game and working on perfecting them as best we can. This is also allowing us to learn various things which will make adding future cars easier. With each car Stephen does, the more second nature it will become for him and the easier we'll be able to get these cars out. It is taking longer then we expected but we're there every day working to get these cars completed and released. We'll keep you posted on the development process.
Ok so here's whats going on: - Ales is finishing up the 787B to release it as a beta (hopefully in a few days) - I'm working on the Sauber Mercedes C11 (some public photo's & video to appear soon) - The Porsche 962C is nearly finished being textured (then it will come to me) - Stephen & Derek are working on the F308 (though they have struck a weird bug with reflections from using wild card textures for the body)
New update. -Porsche 962C is now ready for in-game with the set of liveries already been made for it. I will be posting some shots of the Porsche 962C painted within the next 24 hours so stay tuned. As for other updates. Right now our guys are still working hard on these Group C and another car we haven't announced yet to be ready to release in rF2. Stephen has come to grips with developing all the driver animations as well as other areas which we're getting to grips with in rF2. We're still going through learning various areas but the good thing is that we've made strong headway in understanding how various elements in rF2 works thanks not only to Ales from UnitedRacingDesigns but also to Stephen who has put in an immense amount of time to learn rF2 on a daily basis. ADUBZ has also gotten to grips with various areas and is working on the Sauber Mercedes in-game and things are progressing well. We'll keep you all posted as things get done. Please bear in mind that the 1991 Porsche 962C had quite a number of variations to the shape where different teams ran different parts and shapes in various areas. We've chosen the version we had more references on, we might develop the other versions in the future but that is unknown for now. We still feel that the version we chose to model is still better than nothing at all so we hope you will enjoy it! UPDATE! After discussing with our guys, we will also do the long wing version of the 962C.
Great news guys! We really need you guys, because you and Ales are the only modders that are working on something for rf2! Keep it going amd thanks for the effort!
Greetings everyone. A new team development blog has been posted on our official website which shows some shots of the Porsche 962C. Be sure to check it out here
