When Abriel deletes old versions they should also be deleted from your folder. My guess is you are syncing into an existing folder that already had a bunch of tracks so when Abriel deletes one that you already had in there, BTSync isn't willing to delete it. It is best to sync into an empty folder, that way Abriel has full control and you don't end up with old versions left behind. There is also a .SyncArchive folder that stores files as they are deleted. You can empty that folder out from time to time. You can also disable the archive if you want by right clicking on the share and going to the properties and then uncheck "Store deleted files in SyncArchive".
Drop all the no permission stuff, make a official torrent at TPB, eventually get a green skull ( I will vote for you ) That would be something...... a skull for legal content. hehehe You don't even have to say ...........because they can't rip it. You realize how many people would be seeding one "registered and posted" at TPB ? lol
Which creates more hassle for Aries and for what? This share has plenty of seeds and gets 2.5MB easy.
The key is still B3HVVBST4G3OTWSDODO34PC573T6WNFM7 and working fine here. Make sure you don't have any leading or trailing spaces when you paste the key. It really should do a trim but it doesn't.
Just set it up. Being a little late to the party (as usual), I can say it's working fine. Noel's tip is probably the one that will make it work for you.
Thanks, great idea and easy synchronisation, cool Anyway, some weird things happened to me and I loose lot of time. I used an empty directory for the sync and all tracks were fully loaded, I waited for the Sync to stop. Then, I copied only new tracks I didn't have into my Packages directory, and installed then. After this I wasn't able to choose any tracks, new or old I already had, without having a crash during the loading screen of the track, or just after clicking the "Race" button. It looked like all my tracks was now corrupted. Then, I read some previous posts and saw DTM tracks can create some problems, so I uninstalled then, and now, all my tracks work! I was scared to had to download again all my favorites tracks
These fellas need to remove the DTM tracks so they quit downloading when you start BTSync. They are causing issues with the rest of the tracks. LAME
Ive decided to uninstall torrent sync and not use this now. Shame because it seemed like a great way of keeping up to date, but it is flawed by the fact that it contains tracks that break your installation of RF2
Well if you want to avoid the possibility of any issues you have a very simple solution - just don't install the DTM tracks (in the mod manager), don't need to delete or uninstall everything.
Install BTSync, it's what is being used now, and add a sync folder, using the key you can find in this same page of the thread, pointing to the folder were you would like tracks to be saved on your computer (if you have serveral tracks already downloaded you can put them in that folder and btsync won't download them twice if they are same version) byyyyyyyyye
This new BitTorrent sync is a good idea except for us users of XP 64bit which is not supported by the BitTorrent Sync client which won't even install.
Given that Microsoft themselves will cease support for XP in April 2014, it's probably time to consider upgrading anyway!
Thank you for creating the BTSync track synch! This has probably been the absolute single best addition to rF2.
