Rally Mod

Is anyone working on a Rally mod for rF2?

I would love to see a RBR successor come from the rFactor 2 mod community.

 

Without active diffs it cannot be done

 

Turbos at least, are a good step forward.

 

I remember that in rF1 there was F40 Ferrari being made, that car had active suspension, which of course could not be made for rF1, but it did not stop people trying to re-create their dream.

I'm sure that some rallying will come at some point, by modders or who knows maybe by ISI, what I have gathered is that they seem to have much larger spectrum of racing in mind now than with rF1, but we can only be sure what will come when we wait and see.

 

I didn't say an attempt is not possible. but it is impossible to create RBR successor which Skin is asking for

I have some cars ready to get some dirt, i'm waiting for an off-road track

 

Rally mod and tracks! Although I have fun with Tarmac rally too like mountain forest even though it is a loop.

 

According to the topic about Dirt racing in rF2 by Golly, it seems we will not be seeing any dirt racing in rF2 for 2 to 3 years due to a number of reasons.. one being getting real road to work as a dirt environment in game too. I hope I explained that properly.

 

2-3 years, then rally mod development needs to begin already as building tracks and cars at spare time will take quite long, people come and go etc. so to develop really good rally mod from scratch could easily take that time, b-group, modern WRC, 90's WRC at least, then some desert stuff too.

Hill climb and lower class rallies are those I hope to see in future.
