    Hello, Neil.

plenty of resources out there, you might try http://insidesimracing.tv/forums/viewforum.php?f=110 or you could simply Google "DIY simrig"

I'm myself in the planning stages of my cockpit, im leaning towards a wheelstand solution tho because of space issues, but I'm no builder and have no garage to build in so I'm probably gonna buy one, don't want to highjack your thread but if anyone has any decent suggestions I'd be happy, very cheap and basic aslong as it's no center post and stable.

    Happy building.

This is mine. Made out of MDF board. 5.1 surround with the sub under the seat. 42" LED TV. Getting a T500RS soon to go with my shifter :)

Yeh twip forums has loads of good cockpits on show and good people to talk to about it too.

This has to be one of the best I`ve ever seen, built by Remco Hitman

    Pretty awesome imo.

    Nice links guys.

This is my answer for the perfect desk replacement. Its made out of 22mm x 1.6mm steel tube and is rock solid.
It was my personal ride in my office :). Its now up for sale due to a new one that I'm doing for my self.

This model is made for people who only had room for a desk in the first place, people in wheelchairs and people on a budget.
Hope it give you some ideas.

Thx for links guys, just what i was after,

I did have a pretty cool cockpit years ago, except that the racing seat gave me a sore back
The cockpit frame was made from 90mm PVC pipe painted black with a yellow racing seat similar to BMWPowers seat above,
    found a pic

I currently have a home theatre recliner modified so it doesnt fling all the way out, very comfy.

    Nice setup there BMWpower,

TJC, that Remco Hitman is cool and gives me the idea of buying an old formula ford or a formula v and mounting everything to that, leave the wheels on, if only i could get it through my bedroom door.

Max Attack, thats nice and compact but it looks like it would bounce all over the room the way RF2 and FFB is at the moment;)

    Thx again for links

PVC pipe is strong, light and cheap. It's great for cockpits, and if you give it a coat of paint like OzzyNeil did, it looks great.
