pc specs ati hd 4890 1gb 955 quad core black edition 3.2 at 3.5 m5a 88-v evo mother board with 8gb 1600 ram ive just purchased the 7970 and hope to get a massive increase in fps... just wondering weather my 955 quad core at 3.5 will compliment it or will i get a bottle neck... i was looking at the AMD Bulldozer FX-4 Quad Core 4170 Black Edition 4.20Ghz, its £107 but will it be worth upgrading from my 955... will i notice much differance... would appreciate some helpfull input..
You will notice some differance. Its a lot quicker than the 955 straight out of the box. Plus the 4170 is clockable to 5.0GHz+. £107, What a bargin..
yeh overclockers.co.uk..i might see how i get on with the 7970 first... im just hoping i get good performance for rf2 and all my other games my pc strugles with...arma 2 fsx take on helicopters... its a big risk spending £340 on a gpu if my mrs found out she would flip.lol....
