Hi, i've playd quite a lot to rfactor back in the days and here I just bought the rfactor 2 package to try it on my pc. I know I should have no problem running it as here are my specs: 16 GB ram i7 2600 gtx570 windows 7 I cant run the game, it crashes when I try to load a game (map screen). ANyone has a tutorial on how to do a clean install? And I also tried downloading and installing these mods and most of em are dtected in the mod manager. I'm not a developer and I just want to play! Thanks! Alex
This is a great place to start mate.......http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.php/5304-Get-Started-Here-(how-to-purchase-faq-etc)
Yeah I followed these but even after packages are in the package folder, I cant launch gameplay. It dfosnt seem right at all.
click on your windows start button and bring up the "run" screen. type %appdata% you should see a file called .rfactor move it to your desktop. uninstall rfactor download build 90 full install. put the .rfactor file back in it's orginial place download the 60s mod v1.0 and install it. download the 60s mod v1.1 and install it. Let me know if you can get into rF2 with that. I'm just assuming here that you've actually paid for a copy. If you haven't I can't help you.
I sure bought the game. Payed 85 dollars for it I did what you told me, it still crashes when loading in the map screen.
Ok so I finally got to install the track Brianza..... Now game loads the track and all but all other tracks make the game crash.... When I load the Brianza track it works fine with all settings to max so I believe the machine is running the game quite good.... but there are still 2 HUGE problems 1. NO ENGINE SOUND AT ALL 2. Steering wheel turns to the right even when I'm centered. Tried to work it around in settings but it only turns right (when i bring the wheel on the ultimate left its turns left but just a second (undriveable). So I will have to find ways to make the game work on more than 1 track, try to get engine sound, try to make wheel (MOMO force) work properly... At least I got to load a game....
Yeah I'd say try support. Give them as much information as you can. This forum is currently filled with plenty of trolls and experts, so I'd say deal straight with ISI and see if they are willing to help. You'll only get responses here if you play the start a troll thread "which sim is best" and play that routine. The entire sim racing community is becoming disgusting. FPS communities are more mature. Or you can try nogrip racing forum. They have a pretty good rF2 subforum.
