Hello All, I kept a short log starting with build 49 of my re-install to try to recover rFactor 2 after build 85 crashed the game. It's not technical, but just more of an "order of install" and what worked and did not work for each stage. Hope this can help someone! Are trying to make it not work on purpose? The latest updates to the mods require version 85 to be installed first. Install the latest version of the game, then install and update the mods.
I had issue updating too and I had to do a total reinstall and not an upgrade from the old build. I had an issue with some mods too (I think one of the modded cars was causing the issue). It's working now but that was kind of a rough update.
Well build 85 totally crashed the game. I did the 69 to 85 update that crashed. Then did 2 build 85 installs back to back. Both times the game crashed so I figured I would start from the ground up. Now everything is ok.
Same here. Update from 69 to 85 nothing worked. Delete, reinstall 85 full, reinstall and update tracks and mods and everything is OK! Some type of bug in the update.
Worked perfectly for me; updated to Build 85, then updated all the RFMODS, started the game without any issues.
Build 49? Really?! B49 had update bugs, so you're introducing problems by going back that far. No combination except everything updated will work. NO OTHER COMBINATION. New mods won't work properly with old build, old build won't work properly with new mods. New mods won't work properly with old mods. Build 85, all mods up-to-date, that's it.
What is wrong now? Had to make a fresh rf2 install to my new pc. I downloaded the full installer 85 build. Installed all the mods and updated them but it crashes when I'm going to play sp or mp.. Unistalled rf2, made everything as before. Installed only megane mod and updated it but still it crashes. What's wrong?
There should be zero installation bugs if instructions are followed. I haven't seen one? Updating all mods and to b85 was an instruction often not followed.
I have build 85, all mods installed and all mods are updated! Advanced tab says "All mods and components verified." BUT still when I press "single player" or "Online" I get this rfactor 2 logo screen and then after couple of seconds it crashes and says that rfactor 2 has stopped working. So what the hell is this
