rF2LiveViewPlugin

A lot of you probably knows LiveViewPlugin for rFactor, especially as part of SLS, or stand alone LV.
Here is its successor: liveview plugin for rFactor2.

Note, it is not on-click solution for live views. Plugin itself only periodically generates data into file using format similar to one known from GTR/GTR2 (and almost the same to generated by liveview plugin for rfactor). To make use of it, some parser is needed and also some service which will upload new/updated files somewhere into web. Uploading may be done by my LiveViewReporter (working as windows service). When I copy the dll and ini file and start rF2, rF2 crashes. Couldn't find any error logs. Do you have an idea what it might be?

Crashes for me too, cant start game at all ! Any ideas ?

 

can't run the plugin with my dedicated server. As soon as I try to Host, it crashes. Could this be a problem with Build 300?

 

The file has not been updated since 2012-05-28, no wonder why it crashes !

 

the same for vmliveview hotlap.dll -> it hangs since 342

So if someone's able to code an extract & load for RF2 : there's a huge need here

Dedicated server crashes with plugin installed, in our community we haven't hotlaps system for this issue...

Here is new version of Liveview plugin for rF2.

From SimRacing PL forum:

I have it uploading fine to web server with rF2 build 382 (no more crashing dedicated like previous versions), but now the problem is that there is no way to parse and display it on a web page in standalone mode. I have not seen this Liveview working, showing cars on track, with SLS either yet.

Hopefully this can change soon, this plugin was great in rFactor 1, and my league relied heavily on it to show activity.

Maxym, any plans for standalone release with php files? Please?
