Plugins issue with Max 2011

    I dropped the new plugins for Max 2011 into the plugins folder in max like I always do at every new build, and I got this error when starting Max. The materials all turn black once max loads. I also tried using the max 2012 as well as the max 2010 plugins, same issue.

    Any Idea's?

    whew, glad its not just me. I was beginning to worry after almost a day with no other replies....

    Same here with Max 2011. Failed to initialize. And yes, i copied new coreshaders.mas into hardwareshaders folder.

    A couple guys found a fix in the modding section. You have to remove all of the rf1 shaders from the hardwareshaders folder in max, then it works just fine.

    Ok, i removed old rFactor shaders so it works now. Thanks very much, guys.

    I refire this thread:
    rfactor Plugins from the current Build:

    - just the current coreshaders.mas in the hardwareshaders directory
    - just the 3 current files in the plugin folder
    - no error message

    but i git just black textures all over the place...
