How much has ISI made in community contributions?

Kunos made the awesome Netkar1.3 and FVA, so there's every reason to believe that AC will be a sim and Kunos has publicly stated that he's not going down the simcade path......as for pcars, firstly, a one minute drive and the jigs up, but that game is being developed by SMS who're famous for moving to bad simcade games like Shift1/2 and the questionable new Ferrari game.

 

wholeheartedly hope u do, but, its rf2 forum here, u keep discussing other games. I would be in their forums if I was interested...

 

I'm interested in every top notch sim and pretty much own them all and looking forward to buying anything from Kunos, Reiza, or Simbin, and like it or not, ISI will have to put up with me for another 12months or so at least

Well you gain nothing from attacking any software in the way you did here. It really serves no purpose. I'd just let it develop, see what happens with it. If you're right, you're right, if you're wrong, you're wrong. Nobody needs to know whether you were right or wrong before it happens.

 

It's not about what it will become, as none of us know for sure, it's the fact that the pcars supporters are calling a simcadey physics and FFB a sim right here and now.

 

iRacing is also called sim (with a lot of things, being standard in other titles, not simulated). rF comparing to rF2 might be also called a simcade. Let's face it: a lot of rF1 mods are more arcadish than pCars is. SBT products also have cheated physics to get better FFB/racing experience.

Try to answer a question: when title become the sim, and when it not deserves it.
I would be more careful while judging.

 

We each have our way of judging various things, but silly ole me, I judge a sim by it's best attributes, and there must be scores of HQ rf1 sim cars even if 100's are garbage, as such, one would assume rf1 is a good sim, however, pcars does not have a single sim car.

I could understand people being so passionate and defensive about a game if they created it, but why on earth people defend a game claiming it to be the #1 is beyond me when they just play the thing.

Even then, any respectable software gaming creator will know and realise their piece of work's shortcomings and would probably agree with the criticisms behind closed doors - can't do it publicly otherwise it won't sell!

Pro this and anti that - proves nothing. Don't play the games you don't like and just play the game you like and enjoy it.

The again, common sense ironically is anything but common...
