There is something to say for both the modders and ISI; would you have been playing RF for as long as you did right now with only the cars and tracks it came with?
And; would you have been playing with a lot of mods if none felt right?

So, in my modest opinion, it's the concept that makes the game; a game open for modding and a group of modders that jumped in.

ahahah rfactor without realfeel and leo´s plugin and all tracks and mods released is like some ancient codemasters game (around 1999 graphics)

Considering rF1 was built for the modding community primarily, it's a bit of a non-question to make, really. If ISI had decided to make a product with all licensed vehicles named after a series (like the F1 series it did for EA, etc), then it could. But that wasn't what rF1 was, so the questions about whether you would have played it if it wasn't? No sense in that IMHO. :)

1999 graphics (and very good ones for that time). :) I think it's 'silver lining' effect not letting you see the massive difference between the things you say are the same.

I think if the comparisons you make were more accurate, they would carry greater weight. When they are obviously this way, they are not going to be taken as real feedback.

Okay, sorry then. The discussion was going (not started by me) and so I thought to give a decent example. Won't do that anymore then.

Sorry, didn´t understand the core of your answer using google translate. Don´t know what is "silver lining" on google translate, but i´m answering what rf1 (2006 game) could be with out modders works and use codemaster game (1999) as example. Like now with rf2 (2012) wich has graphics (i hope will be so good at final release) as code masters game of 2005.

If that make sense to you.

Pretty sure that kind of language isn't appropriate. I'm sure you didn't come here to add much to the community, but don't continue like that or you won't be a part of it. Thanks.

I replied to you about your language.

I don't have time to babysit, you need to make an immediate attitude adjustment. One warning is all you'll get on this, Dave.

CdnRacer - understand the sentiment, but tarring everyone who visits VirtualR isn't fair either, although your language was fine. ;)

You're a joke, mate. Sorry to put it that way but are you being serious?! Open your eyes or go somewhere else with your attitude. Are you comparing the graphics of those low-res environments, relativaly low-poly cars and tracks with the current state rFactor2 is in now?

I guess your brain just can't but try to see the difference

Then again, I'm asking myself why I even post pictures to compare because you can't even compare these 2 titles in ANY aspect..

CMR 05 was great back in the day. IMHO rF2 is the best looking SIM there is out there today. Now if you want to go with the "realistic racers" then of course, rF2 gets blown away (sorry) by the Codemasters games and it looks like pCars and AC will eclipse it too. We'll see if either of these titles ends up being a sim.

The question is: do you want a sim that DRIVES GREAT or LOOKS GREAT because as it stands now, you have to make a choice- the battle lines are being drawn right now. I'm all about the drive.

Until i see reports of unbelievebly good physics i will never try pcars. I didnt bring any attention of pcars anyway its mearly a quote from vr i borrow to see if isi may answer some of my curiosity about where the funds might go. For eg graphics, licensing etc. I dont really care either way an i thought we needed a new thread other than next update cos that got annoying.
