Great season so far! 5 different teams won the first 5 races! I am a Ferrari fan, so happy about Alonso being first together with Vettel. There's a lot more overtaking (non-DRS) and midfield is crazy! Sauber and Williams are always there, Mercedes and Lotus are always podium contenders. Ferrari, McLaren and RedBull are fighting madly! Pirelli is making a great job with their tires. They're driving everyone crazy! This season is making me love this sport again Even though I hate DRS. And next race is Monaco. We all love that track
Yeah it has been really good for the sport, I think. My favorite time in F1 was the 80's and early 90's. F1 died in 1994 a bit and I've never liked it as much since (the cars were always being pulled back). But I was never going to get those cars back, so I'm quite happy with the new F1 (people have to stop comparing this F1, to previous F1, it's too different to compare, and the 90's are gone).
I hope Sauber, as it has a Ferrari engine @Tim: I began watching F1 in the 1998 (first race I remember is Spa, and that HUGE accident), so I can't directly compare. Fact is that no pilots died since that doomed 1994. This is much more important. Anyway, it's still funny, and those cars make me always dream
Generally speaking, I dislike Fernando, however seeing the Valencia GP it was a wonderful experience mainly thanks to him. Stopping in front of the fans has boosted my respect for him so much. It was actually an exciting Valencia GP also, that's the first time we have seen this happen, lol.
Didn't you watch the post conference individual driver interviews on sky? I recall him saying that he didn't mean to stop there, he had to reserve fuel and it was just coincidence that it was in front of one of the two grandstand. lol I'm trying to find a replay.
Found it: http://www.crash.net/f1/feature/181174/1/european_gp_-_post-race_press_conference_-_pt1.html was actually during the post-race press conference with the podium drivers.
Scorching hot temps at Interlagos for Friday, RBR and Ferrari are closer than expected, Fonso doing a long run averaging mid/high 19s compared to Vettel a bit slower but possibly running a bit heavier. Single lap Vettel only quarter of a second quicker, Lewis with a stormer of a lap to grab top spot. Saturday praccy looking to be the same conditions whilst Sunday is as close to being guaranteed wet as you can guarantee at Interlagos. Not just wet though, but very wet. Will be an exciting end to an exciting season.
