My friend and I paid and downloaded the game today. At same time.
Near identical machines and we were on teamspeak while installing.

There are no series/mods/cars/tracks in my install. he is racing.
I have uninstalled and re-installed. I have manually downloaded the 5 series and manually placed them in the packages folder.
But, they will not show up in the game. In the mod manager, they show up on the list but with a "No" as installed.

I repeated the uninstall three separate times and checked all the paths were correct. My friend has all the mods/series installed correctly. I changed nothing from the default installation paths

Why I have issues and my friend did not?

Go to mod manager, select your packages, right click and install.

When you finish to install main packages, take a look to updates on the same list (for now there is just the R3.5) and install it...

negative will robinson. Been there, done that, nothing found, no mods, nada, nothing, anywhere. In any location.
I repeat, there are no mods showing up anywhere. Nothing "In game", nothing in the Packages folder.
Nothing in the list outside of the game.

My friend did none of what you say. he just installed and went right on in...

So how about this question. How do you MANUALLY do it if you have to download the mods separate, which I have done..

Hey, calm down uh? We're searching to help you here. ;)

You said before you've putted packages into the Package folder...now you're saying you've nothing into the package folder so..

    1) Put all packages inside Package Folder (...\Documents\rFactor2\Packages)
    2) Launch rF2 and click on Manage Mod
    3) Select mods and install with right click

I think I figured out what is going on. Back in Feb, my friend got an earlier version. I assume he got the mods at that time and when he updated today, he already had them.
Today was my first install. It did not come with the mods.
I am having to manually "install" them.
In any event, I would have assumed the "Full Installer" would mean exactly that. Everything.

Thats all I can tell you. I understand how to manually install them now. Just dont know the FULL installer doesn't come with what is available.

    Appreciate your help. Thanks,

Open the Mod Manager, go to Option and uncheck "Show Mods Only". Take a look here...:)

No, the full installer doesn't come with the cars and tracks. It's the full core, rather than a part update. All the sticky threads and first time install guide do say this.
