Mod's not dead. Just taking a looong time to get all data necessary to get physics model accurate. Life often intervenes as well. Unfortunately i dont have access to these cars so data is slow to procure. Thanks for the interest, it's helping me to obtain good data as those with access to the cars are getting involved. It would be nice to work on this continuously to finish but thats just not in the cards at this point.
Small update. Van Diemen FF (RF01) bodywork base mesh done. Working on RF05 bodywork which is more common in British and Australian championships.

RF06 Bodywork (base) complete. Still need to add small details but that will come later. Rounding out each corner now to get right with physics... added Mad'in wheels to the mix (4 available wheels now). Good progress of late. Lots of mesh optimizing and texture mapping ahead. Grueling bit that. Physics coming along nicely. Have all needed data with exception of more detailed tire data which is not a big surprise. No hickups yet but I'm sure they'll appear at some point.
More progress... hopefully I can stop myself adding variations of body work and start getting final game meshes prepped. Looking pretty good on poly count so far. Will have some fat to trim but not as much as a thought from looking at it. Tires aren't there yet since I don't have exact dimensions and profile, but they are coming
