    LOL! :)

BTW..a little backstage info; the Dunsfold 747 is partially faked...so he can't fly.

The engine configuration has been faked for the movie "James Bond Casino Royale"..and the production art designer used those pods and the double nacelles (empty no engines) to simulate a sort of new stealth 747...

thanks for the interresting background-info ;)
... anyway... that bird on that track's so damn massive incredible, just wonder about concentration when lapping that beast and trying to death to focus on racing the track and ignoring such beautiful trackside-objects, same for all the other beautiful graphical surrounding you did add to that track. just WOW !

Just do us serious simracers a favour and release that track as it is real soon and prepare yourself for entering the hall of fame as one of the few top-notch working content-designers !!! ... deal ? ;)

Tutle, if rF2 gold release only in a year (guessing), thats mean you only release your track only in a year too?

The choice to wait for the gold is the same for many other modders and teams, for same reasons. There're too many stuff broken and under development in rF2, so I don't see the point for a release at this stage...Remember I work alone, everything is done by me, models, textures, physics (except the Ethone helps for AIWs), paintings, UVA mapping, works on shaders, HDR settings etc etc etc...so I do not have such energy to do, re-do, re-re-do, re-re-re-do, for ever and ever....without lose motivation and let the project die. When I started with the Top Gear track I was convinced that the game was near to be Gold (6 month beta stage)...but now many aspect of the game are in development in both cars, tracks, shaders and GFX compartment and I would like to release the first version of the track with every rF2 feature perfectly working. I think this is the best choice for me and my personal method.

I'm happy you like the project but I really do not understand why of this pushing on me...;)

A lot of people are anxious to try it out (like me), but I can totally understand where you're coming from.
"I do not have such energy to do, re-do, re-re-do, re-re-re-do, for ever and ever" Hahahahaha. Just reading this would cause me frustration. It would be like trying to hit a moving target.

Please Tutle, don´t get me wrong because my bad english. I already know your reasons as i said before in some topic and kind understand your point (You work alone, for free in your free time and have high quality standards even it´s just a hobby, wich i think it´s great). I´m just curious because since we have no expectations of the gold version release and some stages of development can be achieved a lot earlier than the full version release, i was thinking if that wich is concerned to your work (almost graphic things) get at final stage way before others features in a simulator you still gonna realease when rf2 gets gold.
I´m not even can afirme thats takes 1 year to gold release. Just a hunch. And not trying to push you in any form.

IMO the work that has to be done is the same as the track is released or not.
1- waiting for the gold you have to adjust all new features and etc to match the track
    2- release early version " " " " " " " " " " " " "

Take your time Tuttle, Those of us who like quality work can wait a bit longer till you are ready for the release. Those that are impatient, well this is a good learning tool for them to practice patience :)

Patience is one issue, but there is also a larger one to consider: feedback from testers.

Tuttle, please correct me if my assumption is wrong, but if packaging and distributing your track isn't much extra effort, then the benefits of the valuable feedback from the multitudes of testers here would obviously be priceless. Now I don't know how long RF2 will be Gold before going live, but it will certainly be shorter than having started testing your product now.

For example; there are many problems with the Croft track, however the developer made it clear that he will not be adding updates until RF2 is released. This works well for him because he can concentrate on other interests and is not under commitment to provide interim releases. In the meantime, he's gathering valuable feedback from which he can then weigh and subsequently (and wisely) create his own update list and choose his own release schedule. Undoubtedly, he will have an excellent track ready for release at the same time RF2 is released.

And, back to the "patience" side of it, releasing early versions typically means everyone wins because (1) the mod developer can soak up the tremendous outpouring of praise from all of us while (2) the community avoids having to be initially patient.

    Sorry but if you ask the same question I've to reply with the same answer;

The track will be release after the Gold. :)

I don't think I've to justify, ad libitum, my choices...;)

I wasn't asking for justification; I was simply pointing out the merits of a normal software development life cycle. Suum cuique. :)

Good man Tuttle, we know what your doing, we know when your doing, and we know why your doing...if only some folk who will remain nameless would do the same. ;)
