with Build 69 I'm getting a lot more of the thread titled pop-up messages than I did with previous builds (infact with the first build I cant remember it ever happening), I cant seem to replicate them as they happen randomly. Sometimes it takes 2 or 3 attemtps to load the game (Single Player from the Launcher), then sometimes when I click RACE I get CTD'ed with the same error message...upon reloading and clicking RACE again everythings fine. Anyone know where the error logs are for this? seem to remember going through Windows Management or something before (running Win-7 64bit) Specs on my Profile Note: I have not yet been CTD'ed during actual racing.
I've just done an upgrade on one of my installs from the original 1.000 to 1.042 (Build 69). It now does Crash To Desktop ("rFactor2 has encountered a problem and needs to close") every time I get to the point of being about to put the car on track. It never did this once with v1.000 but now does it 100% of the time since the upgrade. I';ve tried with half a dozen different cars and tracks. Same failure every combination, every time. I'm wondering if I can easily go back to an older build? Adrian
Fixed for me by uninstalling and doing a complete install of the latest code from scratch. I've also switched to accepting the default install folders to help with installing updates and mods. And now back to loving it Adrian
I've done two fresh installs since installing B69 and get the same problems, beginning to think it maybe the new Nissan mod causing it....but as I like driving them so much theres no way I'm gonna uninstall just yet to find out
Hmmm seems we need an urgent GT MOD patch to give us some stanbility back. Shame, Cuz they wont rush one out...
Try removing the mod's, and reinstalling them. That worked for me when I had a simular issue. Remove them via mod manager Remove all but the original Allcarsandtracks from: data\installed\rfm (.rfm files) data\installed\locations (All location folders) data\installed\vehicles (All vehicle folders) data\manifest (.mft files) Then start mod manager again, and reinstall the mod's.

I have since noticed selecting any AA Levels in the game or from the Config screen causes crashes along with anything I set to override in nVidia CP, since I turned that to Auto and ingame to just Trilinear with None in Config the game runs just fine.
