Once I can find a rF2 league, I may just uninstall every other sim. There's enough cars and tracks available right now to keep me satisfied for a season of a couple months length. No other sim feels right anymore.
With rF1 I quickly found out that it is actually the tracks that made the game fun, rather than cars. If you have nice track it doesn't really matter what you drive there. But boring tracks doesn't make nice car fun to drive. As a modder who has done both, looks like we will have loads of cars for rF2 but not much tracks - not to talk about actually interesting, experimental tracks. Luckily ISI is doing some historical courses so it helps a little.
I played some f1 mod on rfactor 1 a while ago, It didn't feel like i used too or look like it did. Rfactor 2 has cursed me.........I also feel the same with Iracing.
I switch between both still .... I justed pulled down the Targa_Florio mod in rF google this for link to downloads. rF has legs still whilst rF2 develops and grows. But I agree, the potential already showing in rF2 is fantastic. The rF experience was unique at the time yet cannot hold pace with rF2's even in it's beta stage. Much respect for the old guard though ..... I won't be un-installing!
I've uninstalled RF1 and all Simbin games. Currently I only have Netkar Pro, Kart Racing Pro and RF2 installed. This is because the other older games can't match up, mostly because I obsess over FFB and tire models. Will probably try GTR3 when it comes out though.
