hey, absolute nice driving at La Conca - worth to explore ! managed a 47,2xx after some laps, shure I can go a little bit faster, but can compete with IA at 100 % Thumbs Up !
I actually had to make some adjustmets with wheel pressures etc. to get high 47.1xx, but on the other hand the kart is now more forgiving for errors when driving on the edge and goes more how i prefer the kart should go. Now i'm able to keep constant power on wheels while sliding a bit around corners, have sharper turn in with more rear biased brakes (30:70 if i remeber correctly), -2.5 camber on front and 50psi:s in fron instead of 60 while having 100psi:s at rear. Top speed is somewhere around 140. Probably not really the golden handbook stuff of "This is how it SHOULD be done", but works for me. It should be faster with cleaner driving but on the other hand i don't know how to drive kart properly but id give it 4.8 out of 5 Only lack i can think of is better tracks with some banked high speed curves, more powerful version and better skins. They look a bit weird now. But the driveability is great and its seriously fun
Thanks for the Kart mod, so much better now with the kart track. My best time is a 45.594 on default setup. One odd thing, making the gears shorter seemed to make my lap times slower not faster. Thought it would be the other way round. Maybe just me .
It's because there is so much of torque through the RPM:s compared to the fact that we only got 30kw/~39hp of power. So you'll get more performance with the torque and high gear ratios rather than high rpm:s, power and low gear ratios.
Pls advice, I just cannot play this or install.. Mod manager says that is installed, but i cannot find it in the single or multiplayer mode. In multiplayermode there is server around but i cannot join because mod is not installed.. I totally lost here, how does one install a .rfmod?
just tried this out for a quick second...GREAT fun, nicely done! makes me want to get my shifterkart out of storage. I'll try to actually get a half decent lap tonight or tomorrow.
Hi Michael, are you the author of La Conca track? I've done some experiments with rF1 vesrion of this track, added multimapping and stuff... For my personal use. I'd never tried the last release until now and many things have changed like gears and sounds, that's great ! I feel less grip on the rear now ?? As for the track itself, vegetation and trees are really nice, road is great, very nice overall. Thank you for this great mod !
It's great, except the 180 degree steering is awfully fast and difficult to control (at least with my Fanatec wheel that is set-up to use the in-game ratio). Perhaps people who set their wheels to 540 or something find it more acceptable? Do these carts really have only a quarter turn (90 degrees) either side?
I sure hope two things happen: 1) La Conca gets some attention and gets released as a separate track. 2) We get a new electric kart based on the new ISI kart physics!!!!!! Any chance of this?
