I've not seen anything about this, so figured I'd ask. Is anybody working on creating, or converting, Nords or Le Mans for RF2? Both tracks would take quite a bit of work to make ready, but seems to me those two would be a no brainer to get into the new sim at some point. Obviously there are a lot of tracks people would like to see released, and I know there are quite a few track builders out there keeping busy, so I don't expect anything in the near future, but have been wondering about these two. Unfortunately, with the RFMOD association, with particular car mods, it isn't as simple as just getting it done, and releasing it. That, in my opinion, is the downside of the RFMOD system, and even if/when tracks are released the association may very well be for a mod other than what is preferred from community to community (Nords 2007 associated with the classic F1 mod when a community may want to race Historic GT on it). This is where the creation of a VMOD (such as IT-Traders patches) comes into play. However, at this stage I'd be happy to hear someone is doing these tracks at least.
That was on my mind as well, but as far as I know there are one or two in the works, so let's hope we see one soon.
Useless tracks. Im waiting for Daytona Superspeedway, Phoenix Superspeedway, Martinsville, Talladega, Bristol, etc etc. All de NASCAR Oval tracks! Give me NAO!
Road America will be coming in a few weeks, after I finish off Fuji (modern) I'll do a quick conversion of Heartland Park Topeka and then continue working on the 80% finished Road America. I figure the virtua_lm version of the 60s Le Mans will find its way to rF2 in the not too distant future as well.
The tracks you say are useless are real tracks. Big ovals are'nt real tracks. They are just a big banked circle with asphalt surface and they are incredibly boring.
in your opinion, which I dont share! Daytona Road & Oval (because I've BEEN there!!) Bathurst from ORSM Hidden Valley cos I love that track Brands Hatch as its my local and a great track All the UK short ovals as I need to get back into racing National Hot Rods.....so hope they're coming too!
Since the Historicals don't get much love around here, I'm hoping to see some more historical tracks for these fantastic cars. Old Monza (high banks?), Kyalami, Mosport, Zandy, Rouen, Riverside....you get the idea.
You obviously dont know much about Ovals . There are several factors that differs between different tracks etc. Anyhow, my "useless" statement about other tracks was obviously just an humouros comment and nothing serious.
me.. I would like the entire F1 tracks... seriouly, why don't you try to begin the work yourself? that's what I, too, should try to do... bad luck, never do similar things! but still trying!
Targa Florio! In the rain! 3-5 weather changes per lap! Having to guess on what kind of tires you'll need as the skies darken.
