I thought it's name was 3ds max because you do 3d things with it And yes I noticed. Thanks ISI, at least something good in rF2...
Tim explained somewhere, that the plugins use some part of the RF2 software. and because that is 32bit software it shall never work with 64bit MAX... can't find that post tho...
3DS Max is not only 3D software, owning it allows you and licenses you to build plugins such as the Gmotor Tools. whatever version you own is the version that you are allowed to make these plugins for. therefore ISI must own 32 bit versions of 2010 and now 2012. However I believe that JSS is correct in the fact that it has something to do with shaders or directx or something as to why they stick with 32bit versions... my theory.
He did not say "never". He said that it is not supported now. The reason is the graphics engine is not 64-bit compatible. It is possible that one day it will be.
