Will rfDynHUD be made for rF2 Just wondering if anyone knows wether this may be developed for rf2? Love it in rF1
Oh, I didn't find this thread earlier. Let me say a few words on the situation of rfDynHUD. Marvin kinda finished the project in regard to rFactor1. I don't expect any new releases there. As for rFactor 2 there is work involved to get it working again as the plugin interface changed. I recall some required information wasn't given anymore and he didn't get responses as to if and when this information are available again. He therefore paused development and right now he is involved in a company founding and therefore unavailable. As we discussed the future of rfDynHUD, we decided to go Open Source all the way and released all source code in Januaray this year. It's available at github and can be extended for future rf2 releases, in case Marvin doesn't get the chance to come back. So either wait for news, or if you can't wait, learn java, get the sources and get cracking
Well either: http://www.codecademy.com, http://www.codecademy.com/ or http://pine.fm/LearnToProgram/ for basic understanding of programming or for Java: http://www.javabeginner.com/ or http://www.freejavaguide.com/corejava.htm or http://www.roseindia.net/java/beginners/ … and many more available on the search engine of your trust.
No news, I wouldn't wait for Marvin at this point. If the community wants rfDynHUD, somebody should fork the source code posted above.
I'm also offering the source code for my widgets sets that I stated as final http://github.com/prunn I don't have much free time to work on rfdynhud now‚ so if anyone want to continue the projects... Good luck
Hi prunn, first of all thanks for sharing the source code via github. Wanted to extend the widgetset with a small widget supporting overlapped drivers. Get al lot of errors when running the widget set out of me IDE - seems that all bitmaps (e.g. posneutral.png,...) are missing in the source code. Am I doing something wrong? Or would you mind sharing the bitmaps on github as well ? P.S.: Is this this most recent source code ? Filenames are indicating that this is version F1_09 - and there was already a F1_2011 version released?! Thanks in advance Merlin
Is this ISI who did this? Is this the same for rFactor 1255F and 1255G, where as in 1255C it still works?
Hello prunn! Thank you for you great plagin for rFactor 1. I hope somebody take you source and make that plagin for rFactor 2.
Just for the record, this is definitely *not* true. I know because I've been working with Marvin in getting rFDynHUD working on rF2 and in fact the current codebase already works. It is not ready for release yet because there are a couple of things that still need to be done (mostly reading data from certain configuration/physics files, and these are currently being discussed with ISI). But the good news is, there is progress. So feel free to get involved if you're a developer and have something to contribute!
Any news in this regard? I am desperately looking for this to work in rFactor 2, as the only available option at the moment is pure crap! Thanks...
