SLI off, Monte Carlo 21 AI
    Mirrors on. 38 FPS
    Mirrors off. 45 FPS

SLI on, Mirrors off 42 FPS
Seem to have now lost the extra 5 FPS that SLI gave me, not disastrous but disappointing to lose 8 frames when every one of them counted.
Can't race without mirrors, what were you thinking, still it's pretty smooth online and that's all that matters.

Nice job on the update, much better FPS and no more (occasional mild) tearing for me.
It went from barely drivable to very drivable.
Still waiting to do my rig upgrades until later.

HOWEVER, if I tick the FSAA box, when the track loads, all I get is black for the track.
    Everything else is there.
Ya I tried lowering settings, no help.
Sry if this has been discussed.
I had waited to update until last night, busy and wanted to test the update feature.
    I use no plugins.

Good AI, glad to hear it

As I drive mostly off line, having a very good AI is very important to me. This is good news,

Ok, I downloaded it, installed, and on the purchase I have 2 options:

    Buy rFactor 2
    or
Buy rFactor 2 with lifetime online membership

So, if I buy the first option, i'm unable to play online?

Specht77, if you use the first option you can use it online for a year after the beta period ends, then you have to pay USD 13 per each year to be able to race online.
    Hope this helps.

It´s not that expensive as you think. You get free updates of the game itself. No need to pay for new content and updates.

Look at it this way, it is just a little over $1 USD per month to play online. A bargain if you ask me...

yeah but, for example I play LFS since 2002, I paid around $44 USD too, and nothing more, if I had to pay $13 USD per year to play, I would have spent $130 USD + $44 USD... When I buy something, I like to BUY it, not to RENT it, if you know what I mean

You can pay $85 for lifetime licence option and not to worry about any additional payments.

You kind of have to move on and get with the times bro its 2012. $85 gets you lifetime, you get the game, plus lifetime unlimited online play. Look at IRacing you have to buy each track and each car they are like $10-$20 each, then you have to subscribe to the service atleast around $60ish per year, there is no lifetime option.

Look at Race07/GTR Evolution, Forza 4 and Shift 2 (I know, not full on sims), everytime new cars come out, or a new pack or whatever, well you have to buy them if you want them. Plus they are not constantly updating the games features, physics, bugs etc (with the exception of Gran Turismo 5, but that doesnt even compare to pc sims).

This is $85 and thats it one time, never have to worry about buying more cars or tracks or "packs", never have to worry about paying per month or per year for online subscription. Even a minimum wage job makes atleast $60-$80 on a one day 8 hour shift, your telling me you cant take the pay from one single day of work, get rfactor 2 and never have to put another single dollar into it again? Geez just boggles my mind how paying $85 one time seems to be lots for some people. Its a one time thing, not $85 per month, per 6 months, per year, per 2 years. Its plop down $85 one single time and your done, forever for the life of the product.

On top of that we know from RFactor 1 that ISI is very good when it comes to supporting their products with updates, bug fixes, new tracks, new cars etc. All the panoz cars, the bmw f1 (i think 2 of them from 2 different seasons), the 4 wheel drive cars with freakin LIENZ and all its configs that was a HUGE addon, what a track, then Brianza track with all its configs, the stock cars, im probably missing other cars or tracks.

Then not to mention all the updates/fixes/additions they made to the game/game engine itself leading up to v1.255.

    All freeeeeeeeeeee.

Then you got all the QUALITY MODS AND TRACKS, well there are tons of quality ones, tons.

Now compare the quality rF1 mods to the original stock rF1 cars, well now think about the potential mods for rF2 and how they will be even better than the rF2 stock stuff, and the rF2 stock stuff is pretty freaking good already in beta lol, this game is going to be huge, TRUST ME.

    Forgot about the Essington track!

In Melbourne a full tank of petrol for my Peugeot 206 RC costs $US80 and lasts me 6 days.

This $80 game will last me probably half a decade.

    It's not even a decision.
