Just to be totally sure, I uninstalled and removed all the files I could find, then reinstalled the game, no difference in performance.

EDIT: This also is probably not specific to this build, but I have just about 0 difference in fps with filtering set to trilinear vs. it set to 16xAF. Something to look at?

EDIT2: I also noticed that if I update to build 60 before installing any of the mods, I can't install the F1 Elites All Cars & Tracks online v1.1 mod, it doesn't see any of the components installed by the major mods. If I install them when still in build 49 everything works, and I can then update to build 60. Probably not your problem, but I thought I'd notify anyway.

+1 No graphics is talking about if not performance, if acceptable PC like mine can not move the game minimally is quite complicated able feedback to developers will continue their work, I had hopes that my experience with the update the game will improve at least a little but to me with the last update everything is going much worse is absolutely unplayable with less than 20 FPS and continuing slowdowns, I have not changed any settings in game or in CCC, to build 49 to despite the jaggies (no longer know what else to do to eliminate them) could test the game and enjoy the FFB, was around an acceptable 55/60 FPS, I'll try reinstalling everything but I'm pretty disappointed with the optimization of the game.

Sorry my English is bad and I used the google translator, I hope you understand what I mean ...

Anyone good at making graphs? the below code is a log file of CPU Usage from One Lap in the Meganes at North Loop. If anyone can I'll log more of them with longer stints and post them up, using http://www.softoxi.com/cpu-usage-logger.html but I have no way of graphing them myself.

    Columns are:
    - Date
    - Time
    - 5 second moving average (last 10 samples averaged)
    - Maximum CPU usage that occurred during the 5 second period (the max of the numbers that were averaged)
    - Percentage of utilization falling in the 90-100% bracket since the program was started
    - Percentage of utilization falling in the 80-90% bracket since the program was started
    - Percentage of utilization falling in the 70-80% bracket since the program was started
    - Percentage of utilization falling in the 60-70% bracket since the program was started
    etc etc to 0-10%

With the new update I can put the steering wheel t500rs with 900° of rotation and not have to touch anything in the game. But, ideally 900 ° or 1080 °?

Set 1080° in drivers and forget :)
Most race cars have lock ~540* but road cars can have up to 1080 or more, so it's better to be able to use full range of the wheel if that will match your virtual car's wheel lock range.

    My findings of build 60:

Fps in b49 was around usually 35-50fps and with b60 48-110fps and new version is more stable and no ctd after a day of testing.
With private qualifying i do get small stutters in some corners the first time i drive around the track after that no problems.
In normal qualifying this don't happen.

-Opponent cars don't warp anymore even if i got 30 cars on screen, hooray!

-When day turns to night the skyline has a problem, the enviroment gets dark but the sky stays clear blue and then suddenly changes to black with stars, it feels like there's dusk/darker skyline missing between them.

-Engine sound problem also that wasn't in b49, other cars behing or close by have stuttering engine sounds, it's like a bad mobile connection where you can only hear some words he's saying.Own car engine sounds ok, no stutter there.

-Loading time on tracks are 3-4 times longer then before, before it loaded in 25sec now it takes about 60-120sec.

Nvidia card here with beta 290.53 drivers.
    Keep up the good work!

    Edit:
Oh Bugger me, i forgot one thing:
    - UI-text in monitor is still overlapping other information when in pit/garage, same as with b49.

I agree with Alot that you mentioned- running RF2 eiteher before or after update it was/is to me to keep the FPS running smoothly.. Although FPS isnt everything I am happy with 60-75 fps But the issue I see is during a race with 10 AI the "Rate" the FPS changes is to fast, It's hard for alot of systems to keep up with a 15-20 FPS drop in a turn or around other cars, which brings up the point about "timing"I have done everything I could think of to stay within perfect timing, Turning on and off HPET, Removing unneeded USB items, Reducing processes, OC my memory a little. I have also figured out the if your OC this will Increase the Latency of your system which inturn affects you timing, I have succesfully reduced my Latency down to an Average 23-40Up which I have read is more than perfect, But yet in still I still fall out of time while ingame...

    DPC Latency Checker- http://www.thesycon.de/eng/latency_check.shtml

On my sys I have better performance with this build

I can now turn environmental effects back on as still maintain above 60 FPS (everything else max pre and post update - 20 AI)

I've had this exact issue in the first build and it mostly happened at Mills. Other tracks much less frequently. And, it happened more often online than off. Very annoying to say the least. So far this weekend, with the new build, I haven't seen it. I saw Tim's reply to your post and your longer explanantion. There was a thread around here a few weeks ago where several people were reporting the same thing, and I think almost everyone reporting the issue had a GTX 200 series card, many factory OC'd. Like you, I'm running a gtx 285 (EVGA factory OC) I'm curious if others you race with that have this problem using nVidia 200 series cards, or if several different series are affected.

In sli configuration, graphics maxed, my FPS went up from a very choppy 20fps to 95 fps, much smoother though some 'micro' stutters still occur.

Before with a single card enabled I was getting about 65fps.

Good job fixing the G27 rattle on the grass.

I had the same issue with my GTX275 but so far only in the first beta. With the new beta the gpu utilization is always at 99% and this seems to help. In Eventlog you will find Event ID 4101 (Display Driver Timeout Detection and Recovery).

For some reason I do not have this "update folder" and creating one did not work either. I installed rF2the same way rF1 was installed. c/program files/rfactor2 and there is no update folder anywhere on my c drive for rf2. Am I the only one that wanted to install rFactor2 in the same location as rF1? I try to keep things simple and in one area on my computer. Regardless of where I installed it shouldn't there still be an update folder ? I have googled this problem to death and posted on our leagues site as well.

Well, thats cause there isnt a Update folder in you c: location.
Like explained it is in you Documents/rfactor2/Updates folder. Put it in there start RF2 and install the update.
