Ok, so running Windows 7 ultimate 64bit, basically i can open the launcher fine, however when i click any of the options such as single player, race online etc nothing happens, the game doesnt even open, i have tried spamming it and after a while the windows error noise can be heard. not using UAC and running latest updates. Any help
Post up your PC specs. For instance with have an ATI card with edge detect AA clicked I get a black screen with rF2 and some other sims. Have you tried different resolutions and windowed/no windowed mode by clicking on the configuration button?
Thats another thing when i click configure sim it does the same thing. Specs are - Processor: Intel E8200 @ 2.66GHz Memory: Cosair XMS 2GB RAM 800Mhz Xpert vision 512mb 8800 GT ASUS P5N-E Sli motherboard
Well i fixed this myself, basically i went into the core game files and tried to open 'rfactor2.exe' in which i got the message 'this program cannt start becuase d3dx9_43.dll is missing from your computer' went to dll-files.com, whacked into the core folder and bingo working. Well maybe this thread will be of use to someone if they have the same problem!
Cannot remember, but i get a black screen on launch, am reinstalling Wednesday and will let you know then. Cheers.
I had same prolem. I found that changing screen res in config sim did not change it in files, turned it back to 800x600 worked great.
