There are some real manufacturers coming for the Historic F1 rfmod. Not sure if the rF1 generics will be brought into rF2, as we'd try to license something comparable and real first.
Unfortunately, like Lotus, a Ferrari is also unlikely. Maybe if anyone is reading this who can change that, please feel free to contact me.
I have 76 and 88 F1 cars licensed, but no schedule yet for building as there are more important things in production and we are trying to give track content with car content first. We'll put out single cars later on in most cases.
Some of them. Unfortunately the licensing fees for the entire grid would be too much to make it financially viable. What I've been doing is trying to get cars which show evolution and give a different experience, cars that really ARE that era all by themselves, that's why the licensing is from the years it is. Been lucky with some licenses, some big names gave free licenses, but others it's a little like pulling teeth.
Personally, it would be no different to me having a very 'similar' model of a car with a fake name over an expensively licensed, fully accurate one. Same goes with tracks. I'm looking forward to Char..eh......Mountain Peak Speedway
What is stopping the modding community from doing that? We're adding things which will benefit rF2 (via sales, etc) and the community. ...and we don't do expensive licenses. That's why you're not getting a Ferrari or a Lotus from us.
Very good. It's clear from the screens we've seen of the Nissan & Corvette GT cars, plus the mention a few days ago of a car similar to Audi's R18 LMP that there's some exciting stuff on the way.
VLN 2009 is something I've been waiting for for awhile now-unfortunately their forum has had very little activity of late, nor have they had any new previews on VirtualR in about a year now.
Tracks I'd like to see to go with the classics and open wheelers are: Cadwel Park - Lincolnshire UK (Hills, twists & turns and even a leap - A fantastic drivers circuit) Crystal Palace - South London (Now defunct small & challenging) Lydden Hill - Kent UK (Very narrow club type circuit interesting inclines and off camber stuff)
Haven't licensed one of those. I did look at trying to track down the Tyrrell family but struck out. I might try again at some point in the future, or when I am next back in the UK.
