ISI mods: ISI to add manufacture to the 60's mod to go with the EVE and Sparks cars. 2012 versions of the rF1 original cars I.E the Rayzor, H6 and ZR along with maybe another manufacture created by ISI? Non-ISI: V8 Factor Unleashed along with 2010/11 Mount Panorama Oran Park Laser VLM tracks The only other mods I'd like to see is F1 1994 by CTDP and WSGT but they are already in production... although I wouldn't mind seeing CTDP get some 1994 tracks for their F1 mod when they are ready (especially Adelaide)
Touring Cars, and Endurance series with GT1s and GT2s the series dumans internationale was ace in rF hope it will return
i think you will find wish list is for what we would like in next update so think of that when asking for what you would like
You will find that the title of this thread is "post your mod wish list here." Stuff in the next update is part of the game and, by definition, NOT a mod.
Yes, this is a mod wishlist thread, the wish list for what we want to see in future updates has its own entire sub forum.
I may be a terrible person for wishing this but... I want cities with highways and realistic tight traffic, red lights to blast through, cops to evade. More of a total conversion, but it would be amazing utilizing the rf2 engine.
We have the same wish! Well, If I'm not mistaken, Need For Speed SHIFT was made using rFactor1 engine. The graphic spiced up, and turned the physics down, so casual gamer can drive right away. So, if rFactor 2 engine is mature enough, I'm sure another game developer will license the engine and may come up with another NFS series.
Articulated vehicles would require a different physics engine (or variation at least) completely if rF2 is build in anyway like most racing sims are. But you might be interested in a little project called Rigs of Rods, which does some nifty things with big trucks and has some cool technical things in it that make it possible to run articulated lorries, busses, trailers and even carry other cars on flatbed trucks with the same engine and in a realistic way, with real body movement and bending (i.e. not just faked with animation). Irrelevant, the limits of DX9 are still far far far away, and it'd probably be even more work to adapt to DX11 at this point that to make DX9 look like it can.
I don't think I'd want this in rF2 specifically... but a Test Drive Unlimited style game with the rF2 engine (with it's modding capabilities) would be amazing for sure
Yep. Not expecting anything like that from ISI (it would be too big a task for a team four times the size of theirs), but I just wish that at some point we'd be able to get a driving simulator that featured real life roads with accurate physics.
I have given a lot thought for this, and I think I have figured out how you could make "traffic" for rF1/2 like that in the Test Drive II video. We are already working a mod that is made with this in mind. But we have to wait for rF2 to be finalized before we can finish this stuff.
I always imagined one way of doing it is just creating a city as you normally would a track, and you could run an online server that let you drive around with other people around a town with flag rules off. Also in the town/city you could add some outer roads that surround the city for some high speed driving
Sure that is one way of doing it, but my starting point is mostly offline-experience with AI's. Online you can do pretty much everything what you can come up with... that is, if you have friends to play with My experience has been that most of the online players are only interested about hard core racing gaming, not much experimental people out there.
Mods I'd like to see. Cars:- Caterhams/Sevens Group B Rally cars / Rallycross 70s & 80s F1 Formula Ford Historic GTs (MK1 & 2 Escorts please!) & historic Le Mans Tracks:- 80s Spa Nordschleife Monza, old, longer banked version & current Hungaroring Interlagos Suzuka Zandvoort How about some ice racing/ice racing tracks, has that been done for rF1?
