The message "server connection failed" when I tried to enter several online races. Not all but some. Could it be a ping or update problem within the rf2?

for me it happens always with 'Euro Sprint' and 'Bockbierbude.de' with 1x/30 drivers and practice session. But there are some other with "Server Connection Failed" ever.
Sometime I enter a server with ping 200 ms, but after some minutes ping raises to 1500 ms and I lost connection - especially when more drivers joined

    (bockbierbude guy here)
the servers randomly lose connection to the matchmaker, but they keep running. Can´t say if connection by IP or so would work. We have 3 Servers running on 1 machine ( a pretty decent machine it is ).

what does it mean? "... randomly lose connection to the matchmaker"
your server appears in the match maker list, but the matchmaker holds wrong data (outdated IP, port, session id ..... ) or what?

I had same problem before hosting 4 servers on 1 machine i copy the userdata player file 3 times rename player name
so i have 4 userdata folders then i edit ports in the multiplayer ini files on the 3 copy of userdata

    Server 1
    WAN Query Port="44297" // range is 1025 - 65535
    WAN Join Port="54297" // range is 1025 - 65535
    LAN Query Port="44297" // range is 1025 - 65535
    LAN Join Port="54297" // range is 1025 - 65535
    Server 2
    WAN Query Port="44298" // range is 1025 - 65535
    WAN Join Port="54298" // range is 1025 - 65535
    LAN Query Port="44298" // range is 1025 - 65535
    LAN Join Port="54298" // range is 1025 - 65535

And so on now all 4 servers is visible in lobbylist and online that fix my promlem that matcmaker lost connection to my servers
i not now if that is the trick but it worked for me

I have had 2 days of unsuccessful Hosting attempts and too many Server Connection Failed "flags" to count. I had previously joined and raced several times and logged onto my own server and raced with other players as well. Since I had downloaded and installed several "mods" and wasn't sure if they created a fault, I have just completed a clean re-install of rFactor 2. I only loaded the original opening day mods, just to see if it would make a difference. Additionally, I reviewed and evaluated my static ip, port forwarding of the router, and verified the firewall settings. The initial 2 attempts to load Spa with an F2 car resulted in a hang/CTD. I will work on this some more and advise if I come up with any answers. Of course, I would appreciate any ideas offered by the forum. Randy
