F1Ligue, I have now had chance to give it a first try, and here is some feedback. Firstly, it is great fun! A real good feeling of speed and grip, better than the standard F3.5 as someone else has already said. Much much better feel in fact, in my opinion. The main problem is that it is too easy to tip the car, it should give way and slide rather than tip over, although before any loss of grip, it feels almost spot on. For that reason I had to stay away from the tighter curbs, and come off the steering lock a little early to avoid tipping the car, but even so I got a 1:37 at Malaysia after about 10 laps, with plenty of room for improvement. Also, regarding the FFB, I think it is very good, the rumble feel on the curbs is good, the only negative is perhaps that I don't feel anything at all on the curbs at first, only when I go a long way over them, if I put one wheel on them there is no feel. I hope these points are useful, it's a great looking mod so far, good job!
Thank you for the comments, car turns that if you use INTER or RAIN tires on a dry track. The tires have no problem with SEC GRIP so you have to turn on tires there. As I already announced in the next update, there will be as tires SEC for failing to return the same about it ...
please leave intermediate tires on...just select as standard tires the sec one and you solved the problem. k the problem are not the pluie tires, but the fact that they are standard tires, so you join the game and have wet tires. Just select sec as std please
this will be corrected if you wish so! but do you start driving without looking what's on about the car, engine, susp, tyres and so on? geez, you must be confident in the default setup... I can't do this
lol, no, i do make setup changes before driving, but I must admit I assumed they would be slick tyres and did not check! Thanks, I will try the slicks later, enjoying this mod.
I noticed that my team mate appears with "blue" tyres (rain) from outside look, although he had changed the tyres to slicks. With default rain tyres, the AI cars will run the this typ of tyres. So please change the default setup to slicks.
going with the ffb section that I gave, you must set your profiler @ 100-100-100 and uncheck the option for centering. and allow the game to change these settings. my G27 is set to 200°.
Tiger i'm not confident with the std set. I change trasmission, and other things but yes, i'm a noob. EDIT: i feel your mod it's too funny; i feel like it will be THE mod. very good indeed. Will we have other colours of the car? i mean Ferrari, and stuff? can i help with matlab? i want to try to use matlab with such thing like phisiscs and stuff.(almost scientist here) I'm not a black hat tho, meaning that i'm not an experienced matlab user.
The beta has the Redbull 2011. The final version will have all the cars of the 2012 season ie early March if all the world helps us to quickly complete the Physics.
Tiger thats wrong way to setup your wheel. In any sim you should only use overrall strenght to 100 or how strong you want and then put damper etc to 0%. Those other 2 are just adding fake effects to game and just disturbs games own "real" ffb. I have G27, 400 degrees and 100/0/0% centering spring 0% and unticked
