it's definitely will be like that or maybe some user custom cars and tracks still will be available before beta officially closes?

Because of the work involved in creating mods/tracks from scratch, or porting existing mods/tracks, at the standard required for RF2, and the changing nature of an open beta, it is unlikely we will see any quality mods or tracks for RF2 until full release.

I wonder what the enduracers guys are up to now they're seemingly done with rF1 for good? I'd love to help them beta test... er, any new projects so to speak ;)

    Cheers, Uwe

Historic GT & Touring Cars, Apex FIA GT3, and of course WSGT2, are all currently in testing phase for RF2. If Enduracers endurance mod and one of the V8 Supercar mods gets the treatment I don't think I'll need another mod for quite some time (although I guess the rest of you will want a good F1 mod though).

Trackbuilders, the ball is in your court.

Only guessing but we could see some cars and tracks during beta, however the standards may vary as people will still be adjusting to rF2. Extras will more than likely inherit the beta status as these add-ons will either evolve as the person/people working on them learn more about the new way of doing things or an official software update requires modifications to extras. I would imagine once we get to the full release we will see quite a few add-ons released in a short period, can see this causing some serious " kid in a candy store " issues. :p

Why would you want new mods/cars and tracks when the physics, graphics engine, FFB, sound, etc. of the game aren't even finished yet? How can you make physics when the tyre modelling is not even finished?

None of the mods created before all of the above are finalised can take full advantage of the new rFactor 2 features - they will be well below the mark otherwise and in my opinion not worth the trouble.

I think folks generally call it "practise" ;) Mods will improve just like rF2 will, so there's really no point in sitting on your hands until V1.0 is released... might as well get in some praccy so you'll be up to par when the time comes.

    All the best, Uwe

this is actually the "modders" beta and was intended to test the modding/packaging system out, what would be the point of a "modders" beta with no mods?

My point was not to expect fantabulous cars/mods and tracks so early on.

I didn't say there's anything wrong with getting up to speed on the doing the modding, getting used to the tools etc.

I hope we will see lots of great BETA mods befor fractor 2 beta closes! It would be too annoying to wait other 6 months for a decent mod :)

i cant even get a decent lap time on 1 track and you want more?:)
I'm sure they will be releasing beta content with time.... that's the point of a beta. Even tracks and cars need to be beta-tested.
so I wouldn't worry about that.

just patience is required and better not rush things as quality may suffer
