    OT...but since build 101 the cars tires look like crumpled paper from distance. I had to move closer to get it disappear. Known issue?

    and this is why I am against the layer RACEGROOVE.DDS ... Gymkhana will not be able to pave, ritarder the rally would look too bad ... if I go by truck or karting, drawing is the same rubber on the asphalt.

    I find it odd, and annoying :D that the AI has the visual wear and we don't. Hopefully ASAP.

    Did they take visual wear out of the player's car? It was there before, at least in cockpit view.

    And this is why you could probably wait for our karts, and the associating modules and effects. This is one of the reasons we make mods: So that you have the technology to make your mods.

    Why can not I make a system that covers the original asphalt, rubber tires on the nominal machine? that would not put a layer of RACEGROOVE.DDS which can be not nice ...

    Then don't draw anything to that texture - leave it with solid color.

    This texture's role is just to increase the detail, because real road works on limited resolution. Modders can use that texture layer to get better quality along racing line, but not when you drive in a completely different way.

    And this is really not the right thread for this kind of discussion.
