Creating a rubbered groove with marbles outside that groove is more related to the soft, gummy, modern racing tyres than it is to the hard tyres of the 60's. Is the rubbered groove as prominent in rF2 for the old cars as it is for the new ones? Second question, the old cars actually laid down a lot of oil as a race progressed which tended to a make the normal racing line LESS grippy than a clean track. So will this be a part of future development?
At the moment the forming of the rubbered groove is fudged somewhat, but they've stated that eventually it'll all be based on what the tyre model is doing. So judging by that, the type of tyres used should affect it eventually. EDIT: The tyre type used already affects it.

There are already some vast differences between how the line shows with the different types of cars. But, simple answer, yes to what you said.
