we can already see steering input, cars with brake lights will show when braking takes place, an observer can figure out how hard pedals are being applied, there's the audio cues when throttle is being applied, watch the speedometer while viewing others can reveal wing angle in many cases and gear being used. an option to personally allow another to see your inputs would be nice to have if that were possible.
One of the lastest patches allowed to exclude the fuel of the results file, which avoids the submitting of that information. Brakelights are not exact, topspeeds are also available in the tv, so its not a big deal.
Version 3 of the rF2PedalOverlayPlugin is available at: http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.php/7546-rF2-Pedal-Overlay-Plugin?p=98854&viewfull=1#post98854 I've swapped the order of the pedals so it's now clutch on the left, then brake, then throttle. I've also added a fourth bar for FFB force so you can tell when the FFB is clipping.
Very useful, especially ffb graph, thank you I got also an idea, how about peak display, something simple like dash with 1sec running falloff (or what do you call it when it decreases), with fast moving ffb graph it might be something useful, I think. Of course some day it would be nice to have those pedal graphs in replays so one could record them, but that might require some coding from ISI.
Sorry to be a big dummy but... My system is 64 bit but rF2 is 32 bit. Which version of the Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package do I install?
Ricknau, you always install software based on your OS. If there are two versions available, 32bit and 64bit, always install what matches the OS.
Installed the 64x Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package. Restarted PC. I unzipped the dll and ini of version 3 into Suppport/Tools/Plugins. Enabled HW plugins ingame. But I don't see the pedals overlay bars. Help anyone?
should show up in the upper left corner of your screen soon after the plug-in icon fades away, about the size of a postage stamp. no trick to make it go, just install and use. the .ini can be edited to adjust size and location.
I'm not using this plugin so not really sure if I understand properly, but that seems the wrong plugins folder. They go into rFactor2/Plugins, not in the Support folder.
Tried both. Still no go. Did Support/Tools/Plugins first since it already existed. Created rFactor2/Plugins (it did not exist) and tried from there but still didn't work. Would having 3 screens mess it up. In the ini I made the size 10 times bigger and moved the x and y position by 100. What's with this? Where is such icon?
my ini looks like this... [General] OffsetX=1890 OffsetY=1140 BarWidth=10 BarHeight=50 to get it bottom right of the middle monitor.... it doesn't appear right away, the plugins icon has to fade away first (top left of left monitor, looks like an american plug on a grey background in an orange circle... also could be interpreted as an exhaust icon lol) You should have a plugins folder by default, maybe you should re-install over the top.
Well, what do you know?! I do have that folder. I just didn't know where to look for it. Boy, a small readme would be great for this program! Thanks JGraf for pointing me to it. It's working good. What a great little dll. Thanks TechAde for writing it! BTW, in all my fumbling around I uninstalled the 64 bit Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package and installed the x86 version. It installed OK and apparently is functioning.
