Sorry, couldn't find an answer for that here yet... It's obvious that I have to be online to purchase and activate rfactor2 but can I activate rfactor on one PC and use it on another PC (without Internet Connection). The PC I'm using now is online (of course...). Can I install rfactor on this PC and play rfactor on my PC at home (without Internet Connection). Is there a license file or something like that I can copy to my PC at home?
I will probably need to reinstall my PC when I get a new graphic card. Are the number of activations limited like rF1 with trymedia and will need to make a backup of the current (lifetime) license?
My first post - Hello everyone and congrats to ISI on a thrilling beta release! I have a similar question, maby something will be put about this in the FAQ? I have more than one PC capable of running rF2. Since this is beta-testing it could even be useful to test on several systems. Is it possible to swap activation back and fort between systems? Would it be considered uncool to do so? Has ISI got a view on this? Will "system1" become deactivated when you activate system2? Just keen to test on several systems, but I also want to "play by the rules" ...
If you cannot reactivate, as you have already reached five activations: Email support@rfactor.net with the following information: Your order number (looks like RF--------) if you have it. If you do not have it, say so. What your launcher looks like. Is single player in color? Are all options grey? Say that you have reached 5 activations and need more. http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.php/1980
Hello Sorry for hoarding in on you post. But it is related I think I want to run RF2 on another PC for a DEDI server for me and others to be able to test and race together. Do I have to by another licence or in stall and reactivate. And if I reactivate it on another PC will that render my Gaming pc install in active and useless to race on. Thank you Ruben M.
Just instal RF2 and use the buttons inlower right to instal mods and start server, no need to use any other menus. Maybe rename your player files and multiplayer if you want as the defaults are just "player" as the name for each file.
Hello RT1971 wrote: Thank you Got it up and running but friends are getting a connection time out they must have changed ports for RF2 as I had RF1 working fine. The ports I am forwarding are these TCP ports 34297, 34447 UDP Ports 34297, 34397 Is this right or what other ports should I use Ruben M.
Look here, toward the bottom of the thread: http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.ph...actor-2-server These things and answers are easily found with a search. Alan
