It has been mentioned in main discussion that TrackIR is not working. Just wanted to post it here as well so ISI can find it easy
oopps i posted about this in the GFX section, Please Support TrackIR, it adds so much to the Experience of Driving a 2D Sim! Cheers!
+1 Trackir requested here too, I really wanna look around my beutiful cockpits and use this for left right glance and look up down over hills on my 28deg FOV
Just found a post at Natural Point asking about rfactor 2 support, moderator answered that unless ISI changed their mind, it will be supported. Sounds to me like its a comin' It does require a .dll file in the plugins folder.
That's very good news. Really wishing it will come soon, so I can try it with FaceTrackNoIR v1.6beta.
Yeah Natural Point told me that ISI has the SDK, so its ISI that we are waiting patiently and lovingly on.
Looks like it is nothing to do with TrackIR the ball is firmly in ISI's court. Since I assume we are a minority of users, and it will not be high on their list of fixes/additions; well it would not be mine if it were my product, to be fair to ISI.
Those with TrackIR might like to know that I have mine working with the TIRMouse exe. that can be found in the TrackIr program folder. Just make a new profile and name "mouse" or whatever, and adjust to your liking. Then make a shortcut to the TIRMouse exe, and put on your desktop. Then create a key in RFactor controller menu to start free view,(I use Space). When you are ready to race, alt-tab out of rFactor2, and click on the shortcut you made. Go back into the game, click on Race, and use the free view key. TrackIR will move your mouse cursor allowing free view. It takes some adjusting of the TrackIR settings to get it smooth. I set speed to .8 and smooth to 25. Its not perfect, but it will do until the game enables TrackIR officially.
