On the left hand side of the track between Chicane du Port and tabac you can see under the track (around tabac). You can see the building backdrop, I'm pretty sure you should be seeing water there.
I can't seem to find the problem area you're describing. Could you upload a small screenshot, please ?
You can actually see it just before Chicane du Port too. View attachment 492 View attachment 493 View attachment 494
Interesting, the water mesh isn't visible at all on your system. I'll forward this to the right person. Thanks for letting us know .
If it helps my system specs are:- i7 940 Asus P6T Deluxe V2 MB 6GB Corsair XMS3 memory (3 x matched ram) Nvidia GTX 560 ti 2gb Graphics (PCIE 2x) Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit
what nvidia driver version are you using? I've seen similar behaviour on some other game which was corrected by updating to newer drivers
For me, although the water is visible, when I fall into the harbour (yes 'when', not if!), I can see the entire circuit from 'underneath'. I'm using the latest ATI driver (12.1a). My graphic settings are mid-range because of my PC so not sure if that is the reason for it. I don't really mind because I don't intend to spending much time treading water, but thought I'd point it out anyway.
They explained in another thread that it's by design, they only did the top of the water because the rest is not important.
Thanks for clearing that up, didn't see that. And yeh I agree, it doesn't really matter anyway. Cool avatar
Follow up to this thread. The water is actually being rendered. I hadn't noticed till I came a cropper in the chicane. See the attached screen shot. In the near left that appears to be the water but as you can see on the right the clipping problem remains. View attachment 608
There is no water in that screenshot at all. It's a curious little bug that we haven't been able to reproduce yet so far .
Are you sure there is no water there?. The Area in front of the left wheel was shimmering and moving like water.
Hmm, looks like there is something indeed. The main water texture is not being used though. I don't have a definitive answer at the moment ...
