    Hi all,

was just wondering if this beta includes support for using a gamepad like the Xbox 360 controller?

I would like to know if its even compatible before I purchase the game and if so, how can I access the configuration settings for it?

    Many thanks, :)
    Malcolm.

Yes, there is even a pre-set for it. I used one with rFactor 1 for a while too.

Goto Settings> Controls just under where the key mappings are 3 buttons Load / Save / Detect click on Load and scroll through presets till find the one you want to use.

Preset has some odd controls, i changed mine to be the same as Forza 3's. Made it easier than the preset, especially if you're used to playing Forza. :)

You have to map each button to a function manually.

Take my xBox360 gpad setup. I've gone back to a gpad as my wheel is in storage :( Better than nothing.

Also do yourself a favour if you haven't already. Install peddleoverlay plugin and monitor your clipping.

Left trigger with wireless xbox360 for braking doesn't work here. Nor the preset neither manual mapping solved that. The axle simply doesn't exists for rf2.

If Maic is using his wireless xbox controller without the wireless usb receiving (i.e. if he's trying to connect his wireless controller via the usb charger cable to the pc), the control won't work.

Thank you I've tested it some minutes ago. Your profile used the X+ and X- axle for throttle and brake modulation but the car is automatically braking when off throttle and in the menue i can see the brake constantly at max level until i push the throttle trigger when it goes down relative to my throttle input but goes back to the max level when i let go the throttle trigger completely. Once i try to map the left trigger manually it's dead again and the left trigger/axle rf2 doesn`t detect anymore.

BTW the rumble feature doesn't works as well.

I'm not sure mate. I dont have these issues you mentioned. I dont know what else to say. Could it be driver, USB port or reciever issue? Have you looked in the windows controller properties to see that all buttons and triggers are working as intended?

What O/S do you use? way back in the day I had issues with mine on XP MCE.

    Good luck.

you can change the sensitivity to every input in the controls menu right below the shown input. steering, throttle, brake and clutch. you can also set a minimum and maximum.

I'm using win7 pro but if it is working for you something on my side could really be broken, whatever it is. It's not that important for me but for curiousity and some entertainment for visitors it would be nice if it would work. I'll check once i have more time for thank you man, meanwhile the old boy NeGcon from Namco does the job, and much better than a pad. It also isn't perfect but a more precise controle it is.
