Beta will not load any track or car combo! SOLVED

I am having a problem getting this beta to fire up here, I have made sure all my drivers are up to date.

I have installed the core to C:\Program Files (x86)\rFactor2 and the Data to D:\rFactor2.

I have tried to run it on both 3 monitors and a single monitor.

Every time the loading bar reaches a bit past 3/4 loaded, it craps out and I end up with rFactor2.exe has stopped working dialogue box.

Everything up to that point is great, no issues at all, it is saving all my configuration changes and settings whenever I make any adjustments, it is seeing all the installed packages, I can view cars in the showroom, I can hear all the menu sounds clearly and there does not appear to be any menu lag.

The only thing of note that I have seen is when I run the config.exe (click on Configure Sim) there is no language in the drop down menu.

I have rFactor 1 installed and have no issues with it as such so I am now left feeling a little stumped and a bit disappointed that I can not try it out

Gaming PC Config - Asus R3E, i7 950 @ 4.0GHz, 6GB DDR3 @ 1915MHz, HD6970 x 2 all high end water cooled, OCZ Revo 120GB SSD (Windows), OCZ Vertex 2 128GB SSD, 1500W PSU, 4 Controllers - G27 (for driving), G25 (just for seq ****er), Bodnar G25 Pedals and SLI-PRO, eyefinity res of 5968x1200 (have tried native eyefinity res, 5670x1200, 1920x1200, with and without multiview option ticked, also in windowed mode)

I have no issues running any other games on this rig except the Race07 series of games (no idea on that one either).

Any suggestions or has anyone had a similar issue?

I did do a quick look through the forum but it seems it at least runs for most and did not see anything like my issue posted as yet ... HELP PLEASE, anyone?

You need to make sure you Install the mods, in the Manage Mods screen in the launcher.

 

seem to be installed there ! but if I right click over installed mod no options are selectable ( like install or unistall)

 

should be a window 7 problem ? my user path appear to be locked !

 

stefano, do you have 'unkown player' in the rf2 itself?

 

no my complete name appear well !

 

the only car I can see is the safety yellow car !!! no track installed at all !

 

In the advance tab of the launcher, does it say something about "mod not verified, component removed" ?

All mods and components verified.

 

Windows 7 isn't the problem. but perhaps you installed it somewhere you shouldn't have. Try reinstalling?

 

should be a user path name problem of windows7 italian version ??

 

already done 3 times unsucesfully !!!!

 

If I try to change user data path in advanced menu or in mod loader it doesnt change !!!

 

I have exactly the same issue on Vista 32bit... Everything seems to work fine (all the things in this thread like names, mods etc all check out) but it crashes during loading the track every time... All tracks crash. Same rfactor2.exe has stopped working dialog.

Core2Duo 3Ghz (not OC), 2GB ram (yes I know low, but same issue reported by someone with 6GB), vista Ultimate 32bnit, Nvidia 260GTX (not OC)... Almost nothing installed... Dedicated simracing PC so just GTR2, rFactor, CARS, LFS, Ferrari Virtual Academy and a couple of things like Firefox, CPUZ etc.

All windows updates applied, and 285.62 WHQL Nvidia drivers.


Really quite frustrating not to have a more clear error...

As an update, the developer mode with the rfTrainer and the one mini oval DOES load and work just fine... It's just all the other tracks that give the following app crash...

Talkiet same problem with me about other tracks crash, yet developer mode works. DO you have the 'unkown player' problem as well?
