Hi, ISI friends: I have a question about cockpit view. In rFactor, you can fix the view to cockpit, but is easy to change "Eyepoint" line in "cockpitinfo" file without give a mistmach. This is a small disadvantage for who maintains the original view and i think that it is not correct for competition. Will it be solved for rFactor 2? Sorry if this question was already formulated, I have not seen it. Thanks.
Eyepoint parameter, if different than what is installed on the server, will be reset to server values after session change.
Ok, thanks, i didn't know. But if you connect in qualification session, for example, you still have advantage during that session, is it correct? In that case, I think that it would be better it shows mistmach. Edit: Another way is that the view reset to the server values in the moment of conection.
Yes, that's true and you are right, that should cause a mismatch (or reset values straight away, like you suggest).
Hmf, whatever. Just as long as the servers for the mods/tracks I want to drive don't hew to the "one true view" nonsense I'll be happy.
I really like an interior view that has max 30-40% car 60-70% exterior, NetKar Pro is exactly the view system that suits my needs, hope RF2 has a similar system. Sometimes with a choice that seems like sitting on the back seat or 'hood' I prefer 'hood' if I have to choose.
