I want to believe "79% done", "80% done" and maybe even "85% done" will happen in this 2011 year.

I'll take this comment by scott..... "I think 2011 is going to be a good year...." It's enough to cover my excitement...

I did want Nords so bad. But if it's Milla Margio or how you spell it, I would jump into the roof. :D

There is a difference between "Release in 2011" and tba 2011...

What about some media to ease the wait.

Tim, what actually that "To Be Announced in 2011" means? Usually, companies set things straight and say "release date: in 2011" or something like that. TBA sounds for me more like "we will tell you in 2011, what release date will be" (so, actually we still don't know when to expect it to be released). Can you clarify that, please?

Yeah. It's strange. They are able to set single track progress with 1% resolution, but don't know finish date. Weird

CM F12011=arcade rF=simulation, I wouldn't base your preference of which to get because they are not the same thing.

Well, not really... even with the track they can't be sure when it'll be finished, but you can easily count how many areas you've covered and therefore come up with a percentage figure (especially when each track, having done quite a few, will likely follow a similar development pattern).

They aren't doing iterations of a set process, so can say, well, 300 has taken this long, so the last 60 will take that long, release date xx-yy-zzzz... I'm sure there are things they have planned to finish, and estimates of how long each one will take, but they might knock some over relatively quickly and have some problems with others. Predicting unknowns is just silly.

Interesting that CM F1 2011 was mentioned above, F1 2010 was a perfect example of media hype, 'news', and a set release date cutting short testing and development, culminating in a bug-ridden mess. I'll wait for rF2, thanks - whenever it happens.

Not really. You know how many objects and textures are needed to complete a track. And you know what % you're on when you have done a specific type of work. Just like Scott said. That is quite a bit different to developing a whole platform.
