Hello ISI, I think that the majority of the purchasers of your game are players on line. To require of the players their waitings it is very well but, Why you do not contact the persons in charge of the big servers for their asking, their problems, their suggestions, and for their waitings. I think that there are waitings (simple) for still improving the online game. There is small bugs (old rfactor) but I am discrete for the peace of the admin server lol. Good job ps: sorry sorry for my english
hi, other questions: will we have linux dedicated servers? (it's important, to save money in renting servers, as with windows installed they have microsoft licences costs) will we have an absolutely needed feature like a unique ID for each players like in many multiplayer games? (in rFactor leagues admins are totally vulnerable, and cannot definitely ban/temporary kick a player - unfair/cheater ecc - as they can re-join with another profile)
We have heard from and indeed contacted various League admins already and took very careful note of their suggestions
Just for the record. You can get it working on Linux under wine with remote desktop login. There is another way to get to work with only command line but it's a bit tricky and I'm not exactly sure how it works. You use ftp to edit the data files such as the plr etc and command line through ssh to execute it. Or you can set up a http access system to it. The tricky bit is getting past the gui that launches when you start the dedicated server, that's the bit I'm not sure on, but I know it works because the servers I use are setup this way.
