Hi ISI, Will you keep to the same trend started with rfactor and build on the same online quality by releasing a multiplayer test demo? I think it was a great idea both for publicity and QA wise, and really hope you do the same with rfactor 2! Cheers!
Some sort of stress-testing is always a good idea, but I think it's a bit too early to say what form that will take.
That's getting more and more interesting Some "demo" testing would be good for both sides. ISI will benefit, because they will get input (impressions, bugs and issues reports) from wider range of simracers and we will benefit from beeing able to test so much awaited product and somewhat prepare to what changes will it offer (like how much work will have to be done with rF1 mods and tracks, how will it perform on low, med and high end PCs and so on).
@ sommergemuese You will play the final product, hopefully free of major bugs (I hope, that's why "rF 2 test demo" idea is not that bad ).
Whatever form that is, I'm sure we can work with it when the time is right! I had to ask because I know how important the online component was to the first installment.
Always a good idea to stress test servers and find bugs on machines, other than the dev's. Interesting to see what kind of mess the general public can cause I remember how excited I was testing the first MP demo. Great fun.
