I have cubecontrols, sometimes they stop working. If so they need to be recalibrated. I can imagine Ascher has something similar. Try a google search. With my wheel I need to turn a tiny screw at the bottom.
Ascher button box on SC2 Pro here, no issues at all with shifters. The only time I've had issues with setting controllers in rF2 involved corrupted drivers / firmware related to Fanatec hardware. It wouldn't allow me to assign controls properly. Once that was solved, (by updating Fanatec Firmware) no more problems.
