If any of you know me, you'll know I like historic stuff. Tracks and cars that take a step back into history. Particularly tracks built that don't exist anymore. I appreciate the modders that took the time to research historic versions of well known tracks and give us a glimpse of what it was like back then. Historic just seems to have better flow and have more character than the extended run off tracks of today. There is a few in the Assetto Corsa Modding community that bring some of these historic tracks to life. If I could fund the modding of these I would. I promised myself I would learn Blender and texture painting in 2024. Going to be a while before I can remaster something So I would like to list the content that has peaked my interest for it's historic nature, feel free to post your own! This list is what I pulled from AC content manager and a few rF2 ones from memory. Having them in rF2 with the dynamic road and weather would be awesome (with the author's permission where applicable). "Men likes lists." Andy Willman 2024 I agree. A lot is there to be discussed what progressed and what regressed in motorsports over decades ever since late 60s. Tracks and cars too. I would like to add "Thomson Road" by Fat Alfie to the list. Extremely underrated track. First one that Alfie did in AC, before his series of Large old mid-European tracks that he became known for. IMO Thomson Road was his best. Absolutely brilliant find in terms of research, and brilliantly done. It was also incredible to race online in it with classic cars, we did many races there.
The Grand Prix calendars have always fascinated me. I've been compiling lists and things and seeing what authentic series are possible in any of the simracing games available.
