Hello, I need to know how to block the swingman camera, because when I'm in the curve it doesn't keep the position of the car. Thanks.

That's how it works, by design. The game isn't meant for people to drive in that view so there aren't options to finetune that camera.

For a short time recently this camera was locked when Stabilize Horizon was enabled, but this was a bug.

You should be able to position an Onboard Cam in that Way, that it works as a "static" Swingman Cam.

I'm the one who knows how I want to play, whether it's swingman or onboard. At least provide a solution, even if it's editing a file. Thanks.

I've been playing car games since 1989, now it's not a game that will tell me which camera to use, especially because I paid for the game. See if they have a solution. Thanks.

That would be the Best, if you would get a Solution from S397 directly.
If not, you can only go the "workaround Way", by editing the Cam File and create an own Update Component with that.
But you would have to do it for each Car-Model that you drive.

It's a shame I wasted money on buying this game. Would it be very difficult to put swingman fixed= on or off, wouldn't it be better to make money and not satisfy those who buy this crap.

To all fans of car games, don't buy this game, what matters to those who do it is the money and not the satisfaction of potential buyers. Automobilista 2 much better.

It's a sim. Most people use cockpit view. It hasn't been set up for driving from swingman since 2006 (actually earlier), it probably won't change now.

If it doesn't suit, don't play it.

Joao, I suspect we will see this more and more as users who have grown up on cartridge games with flying cameras and invisible cockpits, but the majority of established rF2 users and thereby probably the core of LMU rarely used such tricks. I have often commented negatively on the feeds of real world drivers who use fake cameras to set world record times. rF2/LMU does not hold your hand, you have to pit your vehicle correctly, no ghost cars in pit lane. You have to treat your tires with care, no magic 27psi for best performance. If you want a game, there are literally dozens of titles where you can float on your majik-carpet behind the car, where you can drive thru other cars, where passing comes from some majik supercharge tile on the road. But just because other titles do that, don't expect LMU to cater to Forza/GT gamers who have never properly simmed from a cluttered, claustrophic, view blocked with Cockpit pillars, safety harnesses, wrap-around seats with viewing angles a mere foot or two from the road surface
(I will fully acknowledge the error of this statement in the future if S397/MSG ports LMU to consoles and does indeed include the kite/flying carpet views)

Do the head physics affect to the swingman camera?

I had it at 100%, I set it to 0% and the effect is the same. They ruined the game, if I knew this I wouldn't have bought it. Thanks.

@Matt21 The swingman camera has always behaved how it does now. Nothing to do with settings.

As I've said already - the only time it acted as a fixed camera was a bug. The whole rest of the time it's had an inertia that makes it lag behind the car movement.

And actually I've known people who could still drive that way.

It's much better to remain silent than to be here posting things of no interest. Talk again when you have a solution....

Just because you don't like what he says doesn't mean that it's of no interest.
AFAIK, the solution that you are looking for doesn't exist in rF2.

And it is much better to listen to a member that has been here for 14 years, fair chance is that he knows a thing or two about the game.
