I have created a number of little tutorials already but I wondered if there was anything else? (Example: https://sites.google.com/view/racing-sim-pitstop/rfactor-2-tutorials/installing-mods). We all know that rFactor 2 can sometimes be a "fickle mistress" with it's BUGS/FEATURES that people run into. People not familiar with the eco system it resides in may be very confused. Ideas are more than welcome. What I have so far... FAQ Tutorials UI Guide (old but might still apply) Installing Mods Installing Mod Updates Create a custom series (rfmod) Custom Pacecar Custom Skins Offline Championships Setup a Dedi server Add a skin pack
Thank you! There are very outdated guides/tutorials on Steam. I wonder how we can get them removed/hidden (where appropriate)?
It would be good to include things of the competition system Several people has asked about problems with the registration name. If is possible to change it? There are confusions with the name and nick of the player.json. It's a bit confusing the way to pass from practice to qualy/race. Do we have to exit of the practice server or not? I've seen both cases and people complaining about both. When is the limit to register to an event? How is calculated the DR and SR?
I don't know. I'm too old for Discord and RRSS If it's covered, it's ok. Thank you very much for your guide.
anything as the sim has never had a user guide, better to get in 1 place than look everywhere over the big world wide net. Anything ISI S397 MSG produce usually gets lost somewhere.
Nope "never had one" https://docs.studio-397.com/users-guide/ Reasons I am not doubling up on things already in the official guide.
I've made some Youtube Videos about some Basics (Playlist) and also @t0p5ecret did make some, when i remember it right. Maybe that helps you a little bit.
I think the guide/FAQ should contain links to any valuable resources like the user's guide that doesn't exist.
How about some tweaks you can make to your player.json file? For example, save replay to HD or not (and pitfalls of doing so). The UI thread option, etc etc I think Lazza wrote a post about the new audio settings, thay could be linked. Waddaya think?
