First time joining server for an intermediate event. Out of an 18 driver split I was the slowest in practice session. In race results it said I was expected to qualify 8th. How on earth was this determined when I was the slowest in practice???? Obviously I did not, so my DR was Penalized. I was also expected to finish 8th, WTF? Naturally I did not & my DR was Penalized. During the race another driver slammed into me sending my car spinning into a wall, resulting in a 70 second pitstop for repairs. I was in no way responsible for this incident. Once again, in race results my SR was Penalized. I am a clean & respectful driver that just likes to have fun. At this rate through absolutely no fault of my own, before long the current ranking system may not allow me to enter a server.
Dude, settle down and just drive. Over a few races the system will figure out where you stand and make more sense.
Your expected results are based on your DR, not practice. It won't reflect your strength or weakness on a particular car/track combo. Your DR change after an event is based on your result compared to the other drivers and their results (ie, not just how you compared to expected positions). And incidents are "No fault". The game doesn't try to work out who was at fault and only penalise them. As above, this just means your SR will make more sense over time, as safer drivers will be involved in fewer incidents (some their fault, some not). Scrutinizing individual race results won't make much sense, because it's not how the system works.
Thanks very much for the info Lazza, now it makes a bit more sense for me. And for Bad Fasterd, I will try to settle down now .... Dude.
