Hi guys, For a long, very long time now I have been looking for the Baltimore track. In the past, I converted it myself from a rF1 version but it was not pretty; I can't find the track anymore and neither the rF1 version (which took me so long, I don't want to take that path anymore as the track was almost undrivable too). Anyway, having rF2 working again after a long pause, getting my new wheel to act normal; it opened up the chance for another search: Baltimore for rF2. There is none to find. Well, one, a WIP from a guy that uses Patreon. Now I don't know what that site is exactly, but it seems you have to pay a monthly fee to be able to download stuff from just that creator. There is no time limit mentioned, no description on how to stop your monthly payments, no sight of what happens when the price goes up and so on: it all seems legal, but rather sketchy to me. Well, I'm far enough to give my right arm for the track, but really don't want to commit myself to a lifetime of payments for just one track. I'd be happy to pay an x amount and get the track, but that doesn't seem to be an option. Does any of you have experience with this site or happen to know the track downloadable somewhere? All suggestions are welcome, thank you.
I use it from time to time, mainly for Assetto Corsa's content. Think about it like an evolution of the paid mods: instead of having to pay to get access to a mod, you subscribe and get access to the beta/final contents the author is creating. There usually are different subscription's plans: some modders give the same content with all the tiers, others limit the mods depending on your subscription's level. You can easily withdraw from your account: i.e., you subscribe for 1$ and this grants you to get all the contents and updates for 1 month. After that time, you will no longer be able to see locked posts and download the content. You might download the track/mod/skin you need and stop supporting the author or keep the payment going to see what's next and support the modder. Is there only legal content? Definitely not: it's quite common to see ripped cars and tracks, so nothing new under this aspect. It's up to you to decide who to support.
Thank you for your reply @Uff The thing of stopping the payments is what worries me a bit: it looks like the payments go on automatically and I wouldn't know how to stop it.

@mesfigas Thank you for your reply! Sorry, I just now noticed. Either it wasn't there when I read Uff's post, or I need to go to an eye doctor
Damn! @Corti same goes for you mate: so sorry and now I see your post. Is this site having issues or am I getting crazy? Thank you guys!
yes click at membership and you ll see somewhere says cancel membership its a bit tricky but you ll find it
Lol, the credit card didn't work (I blame my wife for maxing it out ) Anyway, I want to drive that track so bad: I took the link from @Corti and ran with it. Years ago, when I was only using rF2, I did some 'modding' on cars mainly and just a handful of 'my type of conversions' on tracks. But that was way to long ago. I had some time to spend today, and got it to work! I did not expect that to happen today. It is a 'quick and dirty' conversion, well.....not so muck quick as it is dirty, but hey: I can drive the track and the AI lines that were in there work too. Took me a while to get the jumps out: pedestrian crossings and lines were about 2 to 4 inch above the road(!!) No real road in there: I don't mind, I can drive it and even in VR, never been so happy!! Thanks again guys!!
I've used Patreon and yes its all above board and easy to cancel. Infact I just canceled one and it still allows me the rest of the month for subscriber benefits. All above board. I'd be interested in seeing the Baltimore WIP, ive looked on patreon but can't find it with a cursory search.
Thanks for your reply @sg333 Still figuring out what happened to the card The Baltimore track, I found by "Rainmaker", the WIP is in there.
